Summer dreaming

Summer dreaming
Day 16: I don't fancy today's prompt to write a poem of over the top compliments, so here's one I wrote a couple of days ago, whilst enjoying the sun.

There's something quite wonderful about an afternoon doze
Reclined in a deckchair as you feel your eyes close
Sounds take you away from your cares, and they seem
To become the soundtrack of a summer daydream........

The chimes wake me softly as they capture the breeze
My skin's cooling down, the sun's dipped behind trees,
It's time to wake up, leave daydreams behind
But I'll leave the chair there for tomorrow's nap time.
