Turkey vulture

Turkey vulture

Day 23: write a poem about an animal. This is a poem I wrote while cruising on the Amazon river last year.  It's a triolet, where the lines and rhymes repeat in a set pattern.

It soars on a thermal way up high
While I stand here rooted, on the ground
Wondering what it's searching for, and why.
It soars on a thermal way up high
Making me wish that I could fly
Up in the air without a sound.
It soars on a thermal way up high
While I stand here rooted, on the ground.
