Cruisers shanty

Day 10: write a modern sea shanty.  These are poems in the forms of songs, strongly rhymed and rhythmic, that sailors might sing while hauling on ropes and performing other sea-going labours.

One of the most famous is 'What shall we do with the drunken sailor' and I've used that as a template for a shanty based on irritatating cruise behaviour.  I've followed the repetition of the original because after yesterday I need a bit of an easy ride. (Please note,  I'm far too polite to have done any of these things!)

Cruisers shanty

What shall we do now we're onboard ship?
What shall we do now we're onboard ship?
What shall we do now we're onboard ship?
    We've paid for it already.

Rise up early and save a sunbed
Rise up early and save a sunbed
Rise up early and save a sunbed
    We've paid for it already.

Take as much food as you can eat
Take as much food as you can eat
Take as much food as you can eat
    We've paid for it already.

Fill your bottle at the water station
Fill your bottle at the water station
Fill your bottle at the water station
    We've paid for it already.

Drink as much booze as you can handle
Drink as much booze as you can handle
Drink as much booze as you can handle
    We've paid for it already.

Save the best seats in the show lounge
Save the best seats in the show lounge
Save the best seats in the show lounge
    We've paid for it already.

Stay up late for the evening canapés
Stay up late for the evening canapés
Stay up late for the evening canapés
    We've paid for it already.

[Repeat daily until the end of the cruise]
